The Creation of KC Kreations Magnetic Jewelry
My vision for this line of Magnetic Jewelry came into existence one summer afternoon while selecting a necklace and bracelet at a local art exhibit. My daughter, Chelsea, who was also attending this exhibit, was on her fourth day of a classic migraine headache. Praying that God would ‘show me’ how to help her with this affliction, we came upon a booth with a sign that displayed “Pain Relief from Migraine Headaches” (among a long list of other conditions). A single necklace is what was recommended to ‘treat’ this headache. Being skeptical of the product’s abilities, but having faith in the Revelation, we finally settled on a necklace and made the purchase. Honestly, after only twenty-five minutes of wearing the necklace, the headache was gone! The pain was relieved that quickly and, it stayed away. It was a Glorious Day!
Being the skeptical I am for this sort of thing, that night I stayed up late into the wee hours of the morning researching magnetic therapy on the Internet. I concluded there was some strong validity and, that I too, could get results from this type of jewelry from a shoulder surgery I had five months earlier. After months of physical therapy (at $160 a visit) and still not getting the desired range of motion and still experiencing more pain and discomfort than I was willing to tolerate, we decided to drive back to that booth and get what was recommended for my condition. I was told to consider a two-strand bracelet and necklace, surrounding the afflicted area.
We had difficulty the day before trying to select a necklace for Chelsea, now I was to select and settle on TWO items. Honestly, the styles didn’t represent either of our likings and we both have different tastes in jewelry. I hardly ever wear jewelry but resolved that I would now need to wear a necklace and a bracelet to give this a fair shake! So, again, we settled on two items. Then and there - That’s when I decided – “If I get the positive results I was hoping from this, I’m going to buy some of these magnetic beads and make my own jewelry”.
About thirty-six hours after first applying my newly-purchased jewelry, I began to notice I was beginning to use my arm in ways I hadn’t experienced in years. The pain was no longer ‘tolerable’, it was non-existent for many movements. I was experiencing a new-found freedom….....Hallelujah! To my amazement, this magnetic stuff works!!! And, the jewelry purchases paid for themselves immediately because I never set foot back in that physical therapist's office. Didn't need to!
Well, a few days later my sister came to my house for a visit. We were going huckleberry picking…and the first thing out of her mouth is: “Oh, I see you dressed up for me!” OK, That did it! That fueled me into ordering some high-powered magnetic beads and copper accents and made myself a necklace and bracelet that wouldn’t look like I was OFF TO THE PROM every day of my life.
Soon, Chelsea began kreating pieces that would complement her taste and life style as well. Neither of us could stop designing and kreating!
